OptiCapture

OptiCapture is a add on DLL module for the ReportServer that provides a new channel type. This type of channel looks for work in the input folder as compound multi page TIFF files, as is typically delivered via a FAX machine. These documents are then "burst" apart into individual documents for input processing. The delimiter for each document must be a PDF417 barcode coversheet. After the overall documents have been separated, or "burst" into individual documents, they are processed and inserted into the OptiDoc database.

The advantages to using this system are

• No duplicate data entry is required, because the input system recognizes the forms with 100% accuracy.
• One central point of processing increases overall system stablility significantly. Other systems that rely on multiple interacting processes have many points of failure.
• Forms can be automatically routed to different collections based upon field criterion.
• Database and file system connections are automatically reconnected during intermittent disconnects
