OptiOCR

• The OCR functionality of Microsoft Office 2003, or Microsoft Word 2003, or better can be leveraged. Instead of having multiple OCR code units that do the same thing, and take up extra unwanted the space, OptiDoc can provide an interface module that brings the OCR function out of these Microsoft products and delivers it to the OptiDoc workstation module.

• When this module, "OptiOCR-E.exe" is found in the directory with the application, then the preferences panel includes a new selection for OCR as an option. When using the full text search option, or using the OCR zone functions, this module can be employed.

• The modular interface allows OptiDoc to interface with other 3rd party vendors OCR functionality. This modular technology lets OptiDoc choose the best OCR module for your needs.
